An opening plenary session Monday morning, with a welcome from the Dean of the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and a speech by a prominent Dutch politician;
A choice of site visits on Tuesday afternoon (sign up for the specific trips at the conference);
A visit to ING House Tuesday late afternoon and evening, with a return by canal boat.
A visit to the Zaanse Schans, a recreated village and the site of many restored industrial windmills, business establishments, and residences from the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries;
All-Conference Dinner at the Westindisch Huis, the former headquarters of the West India Company, which founded New Amsterdam (New York) and controlled Holland’s trade with the Americas in the seventeenth century.
